Walter Hunt (1861 - 1941)
Walter Hunt was born in 1861 into a highly artistic family. His father Charles Hunt was a painter of genre scenes, and his brother Edgar Hunt is well known for his portraits of chickens, goats and rabbits.
Hunt is best known for his paintings of farmyard scenes, particularly of calves, horses and dogs. His paintings achieve superb color and are meticulously detailed.
He lived in Wandsworth, London, and exhibited works at the Royal Acade (showing 500 of 1028 characters). |
