Will Hammell (my great-grandfather) was born in 1888 in Trenton, New Jersey. He married my great-grandmother (Elizabeth Landsdell Hammell) on Thanksgiving Day 1912. Both were artists, she illustrated most of Hammonds "Encyclopaedia of Plants and Animals", and was known as the "Flower Lady of Red Bank" because of her tremendous flower gardens and her paintings.
