From Maui, one of the Hawaiian Islands, Will Herrera opened his seaside studio there in 1977, and focuses paintings and ceramic sculpture on coloration, lines and effects of light of Maui's Makena Coast.
Herrera did graduate studies in ceramics from 1972 to 1973 at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He was one five artists featured in the "Book of Low Fire Ceramics", a text book, published by Holt, Rinehart, and Winston, NY, 1979.
