William Granville Hastings was born in Kennington, Surrey, England on August 23, 1868.
He attended the Lambeth Art School, and worked for Doulton at their Lambeth works as a designer and modeler.
He specialized in large and small vases in classical and renaissance styles. He was honored with a Society of Arts first prize for one of his vases in 1889.
In 1891 he immigrated to the USA to work as a designer and sculptor for the Gorham Manufacturing Company in New York.&nb (showing 500 of 1086 characters). |
