This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| | Born in Springfield, MO on June 17, 1903. Hall moved to San Francisco in 1925 and enrolled at the CSFA. He then worked as a fashion illustrator for a local newspaper before establishing a commercial art studio. During the 1930s he was active in Oakland as a member of the Thirteen Watercolorists (founded by Maynard Dixon and Maurice Logan). He also was an active member of the Bohemian Club, producing posters and portraits for their various events. Hall died in Larkspur, CA on Aug. 28, 1977. Exh: Oakland Art Gallery, 1937.
