| Born in Andretta, Italy on Feb. 17, 1888. Ianelli came to the U.S. as a child. He studied art with George Bridgman, Gutzon Borglum, Wm St John Harper, and at the ASL in NYC and Newark Technical School. From 1911-13 he was an instructor at the Los Angeles Sketch Club and was active in Los Angeles until 1915. His last 50 years were spent in Chicago; he died there on March 23, 1965.
