Alice Iwanaga was born June 25, 1926 in Hawaii and moved to Kansas City in 1946, graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1950 with a diploma in Fashion Illustration.
After marrying in 1954, she and her family resided in Wichita and Des Moines
before settling in the Turner area of Kansas City, Kansas.
She was a retail
advertising artist from January 1950 to October 1991 and drew fashion artwork
for Innes, Younkers, Rothschilds, Harzfelds and the Jones Store. She also drew (showing 500 of 1295 characters). |
