He was born in 1908 in Montréal. He studied from 1922 to 1929 at Le Monument national des arts et métiers, then at L'École des beaux-arts in Montréal with Jean-Paul Lemieux, Paul-Émile Borduas and Sylvia Daoust, finally at L'Académie Colarossi and Grande Chaumière in Paris. His mediums are oil, pastel, and watercolor.
He started painting and teaching arts for 28 years. Then he dedicated himself to paint for the rest of his life. He exhibited portraits and landscape (showing 500 of 1131 characters). |
