| Born in Napa, CA on March 8, 1885. After moving to Berkeley, CA in 1906, Imrie spent the majority of his life as a resident there. An assayer by trade, he was president of Abbot A. Hanks, Inc. (assay office) until his retirement in the 1960s. His art studies were under Gottardo Piazzoni in San Francisco. As an etcher, he was active during the 1920s and 1930s, serving as president for one term of the California Society of Etchers. His oils (landscapes and seascapes) were done during the last (showing 500 of 930 characters). |
