Kyohei Inukai, now living in New York City, was born in Chicago in 1913. He studied art at the Chicago Art Institute, National Academy of Design and Art Students League in New York City.
An abstract pattern painter using bright color with a touch of Miro-like fantasy, he has worked in a variety of styles from expressionism to constructivism and hard-edged geometric abstraction. A printmaker, sculptor and Haiku poet, as well as a painter, Inukai's large sculpture in aluminum and steel feat (showing 500 of 1310 characters). |
