This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Born in New York City, Salvatore Indiviglia was a teacher at City College of New York and also gave private art classes from 1946 to 1969.  From 1960 to 1972, he was a teacher of watercolor at East Williston Library in New York and from 1962 to 1966 was instructor of fine and applied arts at Mechanics Institute in New York.  He became an account executive at Vogue Wright Studios in 1964 and took over the still life studio manager position in 1977, leaving about a year later.  He also contributed artwork to military publications including Naval Aviation News and All Hands.  His article titled "The Watercolor Page" was published in American Artist Magazine 1971.

His work is in the Navy Art Collection at The Naval Historical Center in Washington DC, and he assisted with murals for the Bowery Mission in New York and in Northampton, Massachusetts.

The Special Collections Department at Hofstra University Houses the Salvatore J. Indiviglia Collection of World War II and Vietnam Material, c. 1922-2008.
