Samuel Isham (1855 – 1914)
Samuel Isham was born in New York City in 1855, and was the son of William B. and Julia I. (Burhans) Isham. He entered Yale University with the class of 1875 and was graduated with the degree of B.F.A. Mr. Isham studied painting for several years in this country, and in 1901 went to Paris and became a student in the Atelier Julian.
He was an exhibitor in both the salons of Paris, and at the more important American exhi (showing 500 of 1118 characters). |
