Valera Iskhakov was born in Tashkent City, Uzbekistan (Asian Republic of former USSR) in 1950 in a family of a retail salesperson. At the age of ten, Iskhakov was fascinated by pictures of Old Master paintings (Da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael). Spending a lot of time painting on his own, he started thinking about becoming a professional artist when he was 22 years old.
From 1973 to 1977 he studied in Benkov Art College (Tashkent) on Visual Art Program with specialization in theater decor (showing 500 of 3838 characters). |
