| Impressionist landscape painter, Alfred Jansson, born in 1863, studied in Stockholm, Sweden and Paris, France. He is associated with Chicago, Illinois, arriving in 1889 and spending most of his life there.
His memberships included the Chicago Artist Guild, Chicago Artist Club, and Swedish American Artists. Jansson exhibited at the World's Columbian Exposition, Chicago, in 1893, and the Chicago Art Institute during the 1910s. The artist died in 1931.
