| Born in Sweden on Sept. 24, 1885. While based in Kansas, Johnston was in and out of Los Angeles during the 1920s. He settled there in 1930 and remained until his demise on Oct. 18, 1961. An Impressionist, his landscapes often contain poppies, eucalypti and sequoias. Exh: Society of Independent Artists, 1927-30. (showing 317 of 1430 characters). |
