The following information was submitted by Robert Blanchard: Annie Sarah Johnson (1853-1937) was largely introduced to the public in January 1986 in an issue of Art and Antiques Magazine (pgs 46-53). The article was entitled “Discovering Annie Johnson” written by the famous novelist Joyce Carol Oates. Ms. Johnson’s works have been exhibited to the public five times since the 1970’s. Prior to this period, she was completely unknown until Bruce Blanchard ( a New Haven businessman) dis (showing 500 of 1835 characters). |
