| Barbara Brooks Johnson Morgan was born in Buffalo, KS on July 8, 1900. Barbara grew up on a peach ranch in southern California. She majored in art at UCLA (1919-23) and then taught art for one year at San Fernando High School. She wed Willard Morgan in 1925 and for the next five years was on the art faculty at UCLA. Upon moving to NYC in 1930, she exhibited graphics and paintings; however, after 1935 her energies were centered on photography. In 1988 she was given the Lifetime Achievement A (showing 500 of 964 characters). |
