| Born in Flint, OH on April 25, 1890. After moving to southern California in 1907, Johnson studied at Pomona College in Claremont, continued in NYC at the ASL (1909), and with Louis Saint-Gaudens (his brother-in-law), J. E. Fraser, Robert Aitken, and G. Bridgman. His career was divided between Claremont and New York. Johnson died in Claremont on March 27, 1927. Exh: Calif. Liberty Fair, 1918; Laguna Beach AA; LA Co.
