| Born in Camptonville, CA on Jan. 13, 1857. During the 1870s Jones was a resident of San Francisco and a pupil of the School of Design under Virgil Williams. She moved with her family to Hawaii in 1878 where she taught drawing at the Punahou School and at Oahu College. (David Howard Hitchcock was one of her pupils there.) Upon returning to California, she married Frank E. Adams in 1885 in Cloverdale and by the early 1890s, had settled on a ranch near Pomona where her husba (showing 500 of 733 characters). |
