The following note was submitted by Oneal Boyd, May 2004:

I have a small abstract painting (c. 1950) with the following
additional info on the back:

In 1989 she was living in San Francisco. However, by 1948, she had
spent over a quarter of her life in Europe. The Dec. 20, 1933 San
Francisco News included an article: "Local Girl Who Turned Back on
Society Wins Art Laurels in Paris."

She was the sister-in-law of artist Louise Janin.

Member: San Francisco Art Assoc., San Francisco Society of Women
Artists, National Assoc. of Women Painters and Sculptors.

Exhibited: San Francisco Women Artists, 1936 and 1947 (First Prizes);
Golden Gate International Exposition, 1939; New York Worlds Fair,
1939; San Francisco Art Assoc., 1946 (Artists Fund Prize); California
Palace of Legion of Honor, 1948 (Solo Show); and the Art Institute of
Chicago.

Works held by: San Francisco Museum of Art; and the de Young Museum.
