She received her art training at the Cleveland Institute of Art; later studying with Henry G. Keller and William J. Eastman.

While a student she started painting miniatures on ivory and this led to her first solo show in Cleveland at the Taylor Gallery.

She has executed numerous miniatures of the Presidents of the United States as well as figures in society and education.
