This biography from the Archives of AskART:
Source: "40 Watercolorists and How They Work" by Susan E. Meyer, Watson-Guptill Publications

Ed Jagman was born in Chicago in 1936. He studied art at the American Academy of Art in Chicago. In 1968 he moved to Denver, Colorado.

He commented on the process of his painting in the book "40 Watercolorists and How They Work" by Susan Meyer. "While re working nature in watercolor, I find myself completely involved not with the academic principles nor technique but with the temperature of day, the sound of water in rushing streams, the crunch of leaves beneath the feet, or the caress of trees overhead. I choose to paint first hand experiences by actually hiking the trail, riding the bicycle, or feeding the birds that are painted."

Jagman has had numerous exhibitions including the American Embassy Traveling Exhibit, The Vincent Price Collection, The Denver Art Museum, the American Watercolor Society and The Chicago Public Library.
