| | Born in Canañea, Mexico on Aug. 21, 1904. Elizabeth Roper graduated from Stanford University and then continued at the CSFA under Albright and Mackey. At that school she won a scholarship to the ASL in NYC and then studied at the Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. In 1926 she married Eric Jordan, son of educator David Starr Jordan. She was an art instructor at San Jose State College until her marriage to a Mr. Callaway in 1938. In 1940 she was a resident of La Canada, CA. She died in San Francisco, CA on May 2, 1999.
