| | Born in Norwich, Connecticut on July 6, 1873. Johnson studied in Paris at Académie Julian under Constant and Laurens. Most of his career was spent in Washington, DC and Mariano, Cuba; however, he appears to have been itinerant with several trips to California. He died in Cuba in 1934. As well as an oil painter and watercolorist, he was also a writer and lecturer. Exhibited: Paris Salon, 1898; Washington Watercolor Club, 1917-18. | Source:
