Born in Illinois on August 12, 1885, Jacoby worked in Chicago during 1908-27. While there, she studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and continued with Mucha in Czechoslovakia and with Bellows in New York City.
Upon moving to southern California in 1928, she settled in Pasadena and became active in the local art scene. During the 1940s she gave art lessons to servicement at Pasadena’s Hospitality House.
Never married, she died in Pasadena on July 20, 1980.
