| | Born in Hamburg, Germany on Feb. 26, 1883. Jauchen studied for four years at the Hamburg Art Institute. After settling in San Francisco in 1910, he established the Olde Copper Shop at 967 Sutter and taught art metal work at UC Berkeley and Stanford. He remained a resident of San Francisco until his demise on March 10, 1970. Exh: PPIE, 1915 (gold medal).
