| | Born in Oregon, IL on Nov. 7, 1902. Johnson studied at the AIC and with Andre Lhote in Paris. He taught at the Minneapolis School of Art from 1938-45 and then moved to California to teach at San Jose State College. He died there on Nov. 2, 1963.
