| Joseph Jelinek was born in Czechoslovakia on April 14, 1882. Jelinek was a resident of Hollywood in 1930-32 and Glendale in the 1940s and 1950s. An insurance broker, he painted in his leisure. He died in Los Angeles on January 15, 1954.
