Jozza was born in 1958 in Hidrolandia, GO. A small town located in central Brazil. His passion for art began when he was very young. He won his first school art contest at age seven. Jozza grew up working and helping his father with the lumber store. He began to study law at a university in his native country. However, he quickly realized that his interest was still in art. He resumed his fine art studies and quickly began exhibiting his work locally.
