This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| From St. Louis, Missouri, Lebrun Jenkins was a St. Louis painter who studied with his stepfather, Francois Regnault. He worked as a commercial artist for the "St. Louis Chronicle" in the late 1890s and was awarded a copyright for his "Emblem Louisiana Purchase Expo, St. Louis" in which he used a three- dimensional technique.
In 1930, he did a painting titled "California Coastline," obviously indicating that he traveled West.
