Biography from AskART:
| Born in Durham, New Hampshire, Louise Janin became a painter. She traveled to San Francisco at a young age, arriving in time for the earthquake of 1906. She studied at the California School of Fine Art and in 1923, went to Paris where she continued to live until her death in 1997 at age 104,
She exhibited at the Paris Salon and the San Francisco Art Association.
