Margaret Edmonds Jensen is also known as Marit Jensen.  She was best known for her paintings, serigraphs, collages and screenprinting. She was born in Buffalo, New York (unknown date) and died in Provincetown, MA, 1978.

Jensen studied at Carnegie Institute of Technology and at the Hans Hofmann School of Fine Art in Provincetown. She was a member of the Provincetown Art Association, National Association of Women Painters, Provincetown Art Gallery, Abstract Group of Pittsburgh and on the Board of Trustees of the National Serigraph Society.

She was married to Claude Jensen and was known to have lived and worked in Pittsburgh PA, Provincetown MA and at the University of the South, Sewanee TN.
