A painter, teacher and craftsperson, Margaret Caroline Sawyer John became a noted artist for many years in the Corvallis, Oregon area. She was one of six children born to Jesse and Mary C. Sawyer then living in Marion County, Illinois.
She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and in Missouri at the University and at Lindenwood College in St. Charles.
Memberships included the Oregon Society of Artists and the Portland chapters of the American Artists Professiona (showing 500 of 730 characters). |
