Nancy A. Johnson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on December 5, 1920. Johnson moved to the Monterey Peninsula in 1939 and settled in Carmel. Later she moved to San Jose where she graduated from San Jose State University with a teaching credential in Art. She also studied at Hartnell Junior College where she was tutored and influenced by Leon Amyx who encouraged her to pursue a career in watercolor painting.
After a year of teaching in Contra Costa County, she returned (showing 500 of 2449 characters). |
