Prescott M. M. “Mike” Jones, a known Rockport and WPA artist, was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts in 1904. He began his education at Tufts University where he studied with Rockport artist William Hazelton. After graduating from Tufts, Jones enrolled at Vesper George School of Art in Boston. His relationship with the school continued after his graduation when he later returned as a faculty member.
He began exhibiting in the 1930’s at Grace Horne Gallery and later at the Art Ins (showing 500 of 2871 characters). |
