Biography from Crocker Art Museum Store:
Painter, designer, teacher. Born in Syracuse, NY on July, 28, 1880.

Johonnot taught art at the Pratt Institute in 1909. He left Syracuse in 1912 and settled in Pacific Grove on the Monterey Peninsula. During the 1930s he had an artists' supplies shop in Carmel and taught art privately.

He died in Los Gatos, CA on Nov. 19, 1940. AAA 1898-17; AAW; SCA; DR; LA Times, 12-1-1940 (obit).
