Watercolorist Robert Johansen was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1923. He lives with his wife in Racine and has six children.
Johansen has received numerous prizes throughout his career and is represented in many private and public collections.
In the book "40 watercolorists and How They Work" by Susan Meyer, Johansen discusses his art. "Watercolor is my means of communication to others. My subjects are usually local and intimately known to me. They record my nostalgia for the past (showing 500 of 850 characters). |
