| Samuel Jones is an American artist best known for his work from the mid-twentieth century. His expressive style, loose brushstrokes, and vibrant palette from the 1950s is referential of a mergence of styles that were developing in American art culture.
His paintings combine elements of Social Realism with the ensuing aesthetics of Abstract Expressionism. Jones'' rare paintings are highly similar, in style and form, to that of artists Sol Wilson and Frank Kleinholz.
