| The following, submitted September 2004, is from the artist whose website is www.tedjec.com.
Ted Jec was born in Silesia - Europe in March 2nd 1966. At age 10, he started oil painting with his father, Jerzy.
When in grammar school he received first awards for painting rather unusual scenes from the cosmos. He attended mining technical college in Rybnik Silesia. To avoid serving in the Polish Communist Army, he moved to the United States when he was 18. From 1984 to 1998, Jec lived in Chicago where he painted many space fantasy works. In 1998 he moved to Tampa Bay, Florida.
