 Abir Karmakar (b.1977)
Born 1977 Siliguri, West Bengal, India. Bachelor’s degree in Visual Art, Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, 2001. Master’s degree, Fine Art, Faculty of Fine Arts, Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, 2003. Karmakar is known for his casual and voyeuristic self-portraits, in which he places his naked body in intimate settings. He lives and works in Vadodara, India.
