Alice Leavitt Keep was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1861 and resided in the Milton and Boston areas for most of her life. She was married and widowed at a young age. Unfortunately, the son and daughter produced by the marriage also pre-deceased her in their early adulthood.
Little is known of her artistic training other than she studied in France as a young woman for a short period. She apparently was not represented by a gallery, not did she actively attempt to sell her works. It (showing 500 of 728 characters). |
