| Arthur M. Kilgore was born in Massachusetts in January 1853. While a resident of San Francisco in 1895, Kilgore studied at the Mark Hopkins Art Institute. He then worked in San Francisco for a few years as a commercial artist but by 1910 his occupation was listed as attorney. He died in Oakland, CA on March 7, 1925.
