This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| Born in San Francisco, CA on April 9, 1908. During her childhood Beatrice Willard began drawing and, at age ten, attended classes at the CSFA under Gertrude Albright. She later attended Mills College, earned a B.A. degree at UC Berkeley (1926), and studied in the studio of Nelson Poole. She married in 1930 and remained a resident of her native city until her demise on Feb. 17, 1992. Her etchings were done during the early part of her life.
