Known for his handblown glass with engraved designs, Bernard Katz has worked in glass since 1986 and earned his bachelor's degree in Glassblowing and Sculpting from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University. Following graduation, he worked with glass artists Leon Applebaum, David Garcia, and Samuel Bloom before establishing his own studio.
He is well know for his Tree Series, vessels in a transparent color accented by a darker contrasting layer that is mostly etched away to create the (showing 500 of 1467 characters). |
