Betty Kathe (1896-)
From the artist's own words: "I try to convey in my paintings the moods nature induces in me, the atmospheres of particular places, their spirit and their quality, which sometimes becomes for me more real than my hand or my brush and paints."
Kathe worked primarily in watercolor and did some lithography which was used in producing greeting cards by American Artists Group, New York.
