Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1937, Bob Kane is a painter based in New York whose favorite subject matter for his oil paintings is in Provence, France, along the Riviera and in Italy in Rome, Positano, and Venice. He also paints in Spain, Paris, Morocco, and Greece. On location, he makes watercolor sketches and then creates the finished paintings in his studio.
Kane studied at Cornell University, the Art Students League and with Will Barnet at the Pratt Institute.
