This biography from the Archives of AskART:
| A graduate of the Kansas City Art Institute and the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, Buford King worked for 40 years as a sales and design director. He retired in 1990 and lives in Woodside, California, from where he exhibits, primarily in watercolor societies.
In January, 2000, he suffered a stroke, which left him better at painting with his left hand than right, a reversal from his former method.
