Kare (Charles) Anton Kaeselau was born on June 26, 1889, in Stockholm, Sweden, and died in Boston on June 25, 1972. Kaeselau is pronounced Kay-slo.
Charles Kaeselau, a painter, teacher and lithographer, studied at the Kensington School of Art in London, at the Academy Julian in Paris, and from 1911 to 1915 at the Art Institute of Chicago. He also studied with Jaoquin y Sorolla and Charles W. Hawthorne.
His work is represented in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Whitney Museum i (showing 500 of 1446 characters). |
