| Born in Pittsburgh, PA on Nov. 20 1893. Krauth studied in NYC at the ASL under Breckenridge, DuMond, and Bridgman. By the early 1920s he had settled in southern California and further studied with Clarence Hinkle, Edouard Vysekal and Roscoe Shrader. He was a resident of Palm Springs (1924), Laguna Beach and 29 Palms (1930s), and in 1940 was teaching at Polytechnic High School in Riverside. Krauth died in Los Angeles on July 2, 1971.
