Biography from the artist whose studio is in Clarion, Pennsylvania:
My father was a practicing Chinese Calligrapher when I was growing up under Chairman Mao in China. This experience perhaps inspired me to paint my way out of any kind of suppressions and limitations, especially my own. I have never painted any other ways but calligraphically.
We were lucky enough to leave China for Hong Kong when I was seven years old. I was a science student through high school when I met my godfa (showing 500 of 1601 characters). |
